It is no secret that owing to the tasking nature of their profession, the personal lives of militarymen take a hit.
But when the distance between a pregnant Veronica Phillips and her husband Brandon became too much, she sought the help of a photographer to bring them together.
Veronica's husband, Brandon is a Staff Sergeant with the US Air Force, and had been deployed soon after the Miami couple found out the baby's gender. Brandon's overseas deployment meant that he missed most of Veronica's pregnancy, and would also, in all probability, miss his baby's birth.
Veronica, a social worker, found a novel way around this, by approaching photographer Jennifer McMahon. McMahon, who has been commissioned to do Veronica's maternity photoshoot, decided to incorporate the father by an extremely common, yet incredibly beautiful trick.
She used Photoshop to unite Brandon, in his military fatigues kneeling against the backdrop of his area of posting, seemingly reaching out to Veronica and their baby back home.
In another picture, the couple is united by Veronica wearing part of Brandon's uniform.
Veronica's solo pictures are also equally stunning.
Props to the photographer, for making this union possible. We hope Brandon gets to meet Veronica and their baby- who is due June 10- at the earliest!
