Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim is ready to come to India!
The information comes from a claim made by his lawyer Shyaam Keswani.
Dawood Ibrahim is the leader of the Indian organised crime syndicate D-Company founded in Mumbai. He is currently on the wanted list of Interpol for cheating, criminal conspiracy and running an organised crime syndicate. He was number three on the The World's 10 Most Wanted. Ibrahim is accused of heading an illegal empire in India, against India and Indians.
After numerous attempts to nab the don and bring him to India, looks like he's finally agreed.
However, this comes with a condition.
According to Keswani, Dawood had agreed to come to India 5 years ago with only one condition of not being housed in Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail. However, the Indian Government did not take his demand seriously back then. He has once again expressed interest in returning to India on the same condition.
One of Dawood's aides met senior counsel Ram Jethmalani in London and communicated his readiness to come to India on the said condition, informed Keswani. He further informed that the government has, on the other hand, allegedly agreed to the conditions put forth by Chota Rajan and Abu Salem.
While Abu Salem demanded not being slapped with murder charges, Chota Rajan did not want to be kept in Tihar Jail.
Expressing concern over reasons for the government's ignorance of his demand, Keswani informed of Dawood's agreement to come to India on assurance of safety.
