Zaira Wasim who played a role of young Geeta Phogat in the film Dangal, who already made a controversy after meeting with Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, is now again trending for sharing a conversation with Sports Minister Vijay Goel about hijab on Twitter.
Goel twitted a photograph of a painting from The India Art Fest Delhi, in which there were two women, one in a cage and the other one in a hijab. You can see his tweet and the actress' response to it below:
Zaira replied to Goel’s tweet and wrote, "Sir, with all respect to you, I feel I must disagree. I request you not to connect me to such a discourteous depiction."
Goel wrote back to her in another tweet:
Wasim replied: "Women in hijab are beautiful and free. Moreover, the story depicted through this painting is not even remotely relevant to mine."
