For the past couple of days, our newspapers, Facebook timelines and news channels are filled with pointless debates on nationalism and patriotism. DU student Gurmehar Kaur voiced her opinion against a right-wing student wing and everyone just lost it. The meme-troll gang on social media literally started bullying the 20-something student. Celebrities like Virendra Sehwag and Randeep Hooda also joined soon after and it’s all messy now.

After all that happened last year at JNU, and what is happening now, our idea of patriotism has just become even more complicated.

Comedian Kunal Kamra, a regular at Mumbai’s comic circle, takes a subtle dig at the JNU issue, Ramdev Baba’s business agenda and India’s idea of patriotism.

“What better time to release this video than now... My first stand-up video on Patriotism & Governance.

Loving your country means asking a lot of questions. Asking for peace, asking for better living conditions, asking for your right to voice your opinion if the taxes you're paying are not leading to the life you ideally want to live,” he posted on Facebook.

Watch this hilarious video that Kunal has posted on Facebook, which will make you question your idea of desh bhakti:
