Chris Martin, Coldplay’s lead vocalist ends the one hour concert on a very high note by calling A. R. Rahman on the stage singing ‘Vande Mataram’ with him at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai on Saturday.

Performing the band’s greatest hits like Fix You, Paradise, Adventure of a lifetime, Yellow and those singles that made Indians sing every word along with them and tap their feet to the rhythmic beats at the MMRDA grounds; Chris Martin waved our tricolor flag towards the end of the show.

In the middle of their performance, Martin said:

“Namaste friends, yeh hamari khushkismati hai ki itne khoobsurat desh mein aaye hain. (We are fortunate that we have come to such beautiful country).”
