The Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board has now jumped into the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi debate and reportedly suggested a solution. The board has given a suggestion to build Ram temple at the disputed Ayodhya site and the shift the mosque in Lucknow.
According to the Shia Central Waqf Board chairman Syed Waseem Rizvi, the proposal has been taken out after holding several discussions with all stakeholders.
“After discussions with different parties, we have prepared a proposal in which a Ram Temple will be built in Ayodhya and a Mosque can be built in Lucknow. This is a solution which will ensure peace and brotherhood in the country," Zee News quoted Rizvi.
Earlier this month, Shia board announced that the draft proposal for peaceful settlement of the dispute will be ready by 6 December.
“I have discussed the terms and conditions for an out-of-court settlement with the mahants of Ayodhya and all other petitioners. Another meeting with them is due next week to give final touches to the accord,” Rizvi added.
Rizvi will leave to Ayodhya soon to discuss the draft agreement and he hopes something concrete would materialize by 6 December.
