Pranav Dhanawade, the local bloke from Kalyan, Maharashtra shot to fame last year with his colossal knock of 1009 runs (not out) in a school tournament. His massive knock generated lot of news in praise for the teenager. Well he is also making news now, this time around for landing in jail. Yes, you heard that right.
Police have apparently arrested Pranav and detained him because the lad protested against the conversion of his cricket ground into a helipad for a certain minister’s arrival. Political pressure was exerted on these students as expected who were just trying to put up a fight for their playing rights. As the minister in this matter was BJP’s Prakash Javdekar the kids had very little they could do concerning this matter.
Improper use of power by authorities is really a concerning problem in our country and eventually the innocent are somehow the victims at the end. The protest reportedly was very violent and young Pranav was badly beaten up and thrown in jail.
