Dara Singh is best known for the role of Hanuman in the 1987 hit series Ramayana. He started as a wrestler and has also won medals for India. But, vew few people know about his journey from working on the farmlands of Amritsar to becoming the celebrity sportsman and joining the film industry. People will now get to know more about Dara Singh through his biography written by Seema Sonik Alimchand.
The book is launched on the occasion of his 88th Birth Anniversary. As he was a fitness freak, Akshay Kumar - the fittest actor in Bollywood - was invited to launch the book. Kumar has previously work with Dara Singh in films like Sajid Khan's ‘Houseful’, Shirish Kunder's ‘Joker’ and Sabbir Khan's ‘Kambakkht Ishq’.

Alimchand writing will focus on the efforts of the ever spirited Dara Singh to become a legend in the field of wresting. Seema Sonik Alimchand has also penned the biography of Rajinikanth ‘The Warrior Within’.
