A State-run China Daily has warned President-elect Donald Trump that China will "take its gloves off" if Trump continues messing around with Taiwan. Trump had recently said that everything, including One-China policy of Beijing which includes Taiwan as part of China, was up for negotiation.

US had accepted Taiwan as part of China and had kept no official contact with it since 1979. Like many first in his time, Trump broke the status quo by having a telephone conversation with Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen after winning the elections. Predictably, this affair has angered Beijing which has in the past warned Taiwan that it will resort to military action and that re-union cannot be postponed indefinitely.

The Globaltimes, in its article, advised China not to take Trump's talk as a bluff but be prepared to counter his moves if he decides to walk the talk.
