This one is not pretty!

The trouble for Karan Johar’s Diwali release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has ebbed further.

The movie that was mired in controversy for a long time owing to the inclusion of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan finally released this past week amid protests across the country. But not only has it failed to capitalize on the auspicious Diwali weekend, minting just Rs. 36 crore from Friday to Sunday, but it has now found itself in a fresh soup.

A line from the movie by Anushka Sharma's character, Alizeh, viz. “Rafi gaate kum rote zyada the” has irked legions of fans of the man with the golden voice.

Late Mr. Rafi’s son Md. Aziz has expressed his disappointment and anger to this crude joke in a Facebook post recently.

Soon, singer Sonu Nigam, who started his career singing cover versions of Rafi saab's songs, vented his anger in a Tweet too.

Twitter erupted soon afterward with people criticizing Karan Johar for this poor piece of humor.

This is one controversy Karan Johar would definitely like to avoid if he wishes the film to succeed from hereon.+
