Brands can go to any level in order to endorse their products, but is getting into someone’s personal space justified in the name of promoting? Well, a similar incident happened when well-known lifestyle brand Tommy Hilfiger used the picture of Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan and his two sons Hridhaan and Hrehaan in one of their promotional posters. The brand even added a line which said, ’Adorable Hrehaan and Hridhaan Roshan in Tommy Hilfiger Kids’, at the end of the poster.
This move by Tommy Hilfiger has not gone well with the actor, who is celebrating the success of his latest hit Kaabil.
Hrithik took to his Twitter account to voice his dissent. In a rather witty and punny tweet, Hrithik says: "Dear Tommy, I don't wear u, neither do my kids endorse u.If u hv lost ur spine I hv a great team 2help u find it.Please (hil)figure urself out (sic)"
With this tweet, Tommy Hilfiger might have got what they were looking for.- a little bit of publicity. Any kind of publicity is good publicity, they say!
