Known for his heavy voice, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has recently sung a song which pays tribute to the Brahmaputra river.The song named Namami Brahmaputra is a theme song for the river festival and also is a medium to showcase the tourism potential and development of Assam.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal launched the song on Tuesday. Along with Big B, Angaraag Mahanta (Papon) Arijit Singh, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghosal, Shankar Mahadevan and others have lent their voices for this soulful rendition
The song is written in Assamese and Hindi and composed by Papon, who himself is from Assam.
The five-day river festival will be held across 21 districts of Assam from March 31 to April 4.
