To keep the heart unwrinkled, to be hopeful, kindly, cheerful, reverent - that is to triumph over old age.

Reflecting the same words, Alla Ilyinichna Levushkina at almost 90 performs four surgeries every day. She’s a surgeon at Ryazan City Hospital near Moscow.
Alla, who lives in a flat where she cares for her disabled nephew and her eight cats, has been a surgeon for a whopping 67 years, and has performed more than 10,000 operations.
Alla chose to specialise in proctology, a field of medicine that deals with bowel and rectal problems. She said at one time you could count all the proctologists in Russia on one hand as no one wanted to handle that part of the body because it was too messy.
When asked about her unending energy and enthusiasm she said,
“I didn’t find any secret to longevity.” “I just eat everything, laugh a lot and cry a lot.”
“Being a doctor isn’t just a profession but a lifestyle,” she was quoted while talking to a media house.
Alla’s Enthusiasm is truly a source of inspiration for many!
