What can be better than buying a used boxer of a vicious dictator of a country?
Well, a much-monogrammed pair of boxer shorts of a German dictator Adolf Hitler has been sold for the US $5,500 at an auction in the US.
Yes, you heard it right! One of the reasons for this white striped linen undershorts are so monogrammed is because “surprisingly large”, 19 inches long, with a waste of about 39 inches and are initialed 'A.H.'.
These boxers were forgotten behind by the Hitler when he left the Parkhotel Graz Hotel in Austria, where he stayed in 1938.

According to the Auctioneer Bill Panagopulos owner Alexander Historical Auctions in Chesapeake City, Maryland, says it is possible that boxers were sent to the hotel's laundry department and returned after Hitler and his entourage had moved out.
The boxers’ seller was the grandson of the hotel's owners at that time.
The Daily Mail quoted Panagopulos as saying, “People tend to either buy fearsome Hitler memorabilia, or things that make him look like a buffoon, such as this. To minimise a monster, you make people laugh at him. We've sold underwear belonging to Eva Braun, who was Hitler's wife, before, but never any belonging to Hitler himself. I think this is the first pair to come to market. They were retained in the family who owned the hotel, which is very prestigious, for almost 80 years, and when we got them they were wrapped in tissue paper in a box. They were as clean as if they had just come back from the cleaners. It's a fascinating thing. It's as close as you can get to Adolf Hitler, literally.”
