Top Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist operating in Kashmir and the mastermind behind the Amarnath Yatra Attack, Abu Ismail, was among two terrorists killed in an encounter with the security the forces at Aarigam, Nowgam in the outskirts of Srinagar on Thursday, reports ANI.
Director General of the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar said, “this is a huge achievement,” adding that he was responsible for the deadly attack on Amarnath Yatra on July 10 in which seven pilgrims were killed and 19 were injured.

Director General of Police S.P. Vaid said that both the terrorists have been neutralized and the bodies have been taken for identification. The identity of the second terrorist is being ascertained.
The authorities have blocked the internet services in the area after the encounter.
Since last year, Ismail is the fourth top terrorist killed in Kashmir. Earlier, Burhan Wani, Abu Dujana, and Sabzar Bhat were killed by security forces.
