Raj Bhatia, a resident of Delhi would steal hearts of women by impressing them with his stolen cars with the help of his accomplices. An unmarried old man, Raj holds a record of stealing cars and has been arrested before for the same reason.
Raj along with his fellow conspirers used to follow the cars, locate the address and then steal them. Later the cars were moved to the park residency of Palam Vihar, where they live.
The culprits used to break down any car they stole as it possessed a unique electronic key. They continued with this auto theft until a team of four policemen snooped at their residency.
Initially, Bhatia denied his crime but later confessed that he would use the stolen cars to woo women for a few days and then sell them for a meager Rs 1-1.5 lakh in Siliguri, West Bengal. The police seized two stolen Creta cars, two cloned remote keys and two false number plates from him.
