Auto driver held for ATM theft attempt

A 23-year-old autorickshaw driver was arrested on Tuesday for trying to steal cash from an automated teller machine (ATM) in Bhosari during the early hours on Sunday.

The suspect has been identified as Rajesh
Mangru Giri, originally from Uttar Pradesh, but presently staying at Maurya Colony in Bhosari.

"He reached the South India Bank ATM on Pune-Nasik Road in an autorickshaw around 2am. After entering the kiosk, he tried to break open its cash box with sharp weapons, but in vain," police said.
