Time and again Sonakshi Sinha has proved that she is a talented actress coupled with classic beauty and sexy oomph factor.
But she is known to play meager roles of damsel in distress till date despite amazing acting in Dabangg and Lootera. For her last release Tevar, film critic Rajeev Masand wrote, "Sonakshi Sinha, playing another simpering damsel in another South remake, once again has nothing to do. She appears content showing up for a few dance numbers, and waiting around for a man to save her."
We think she took much cognizance of this and her next is a solo film with an ace director.
As of July 2016, Sinha has completed work on the remake of the 2011 Tamil film Mouna Guru, titled Akira, an action-drama from Ghajini director AR Murugadoss in which she plays an aggressive college student. The trailer looks power packed and her acting intense.
Next, she is also ready with Abhinay Deo's action-thriller Force 2 opposite John Abraham.
She is currently filming Sunhil Sippy's comedy Noor based on Saba Imtiaz's novel Karachi, You're Killing Me! where she features in the titular role of Noor alongside Kanan Gill, Shibani Dandekar and Purab Kohli. It is a crazy role and her Snapchat and Twitter shows that she is having a blast.
Her newly released trailer of 1969 where she plays Madhubala romancing Ranbir Kapoor as Kishore Kumar looks like a dream and will definitely be a treat to watch!
She has also signed on for Abhay Chopra's remake of the 1969 murder mystery, Ittefaq, opposite Sidharth Malhotra, and Vipul Shah's comedy Namastey England opposite Akshay Kumar.
Way to go girl!
