Veteran actress Raveena Tandon is all set for her Bollywood come back with crime thriller ‘The Mother’. Raveena, who featured in Buddha Hoga Tera Baap in 2011, and did a small cameo in Bombay velvet in 2015, is finally making it big (again) on silver screen on 21st April.
The movie is directed by Ashtar Sayed and written by Michael Pellico. The film also features Mahur Mittal who entered in Bollywood with Slumdog Millionaire. Raveena will be playing a character of a mother. The film is based on rape violence and the struggle for justice. This crime drama is being produced under the banner of CDB Musical in association with Anjum Rizvi Film Co, Manoj Adhikari Production and Pugmark Films Pvt Ltd.
Raveena Tandon told Deccan Chronicle, "I found the script very gratifying, as it showed how one can deal with criminals indulging in crime against women, while remaining on the right side of the law. As a society we need to change our laws to protect women.”
