The illustrations are very powerful and hard-hitting as they take-on the various notions about women in our society, be it about body hair, weight fluctuations, high-heels, sexuality, rape, or even their hair-colour. All these and more pertain to the several questions women have to face in their day-to-day lives, with their choices being questioned at every step.

On her project, Carol says, “It always bothered me the world's constant attempts to control women's bodies, behaviours and identities. This control is such a deep part of our culture that we hardly ever realize how cruel it is and how it restricts our personal choices. However, I don't believe it's enough to discuss exclusively the issues that affect a specific group of women. We also need to talk about racism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, xenophobia and ableism. The fight for equality and respect is very wide and should be inclusive.”
