Which character on GoT do you think Harry Potter can play? And here is the catch, when he plays the game of death, how would you kill him off? Now can David Benioff and D.B. Weiss figure out a character to introduce Radcliffe without a shady cameo like that of Ian McShane? He fared well at Hogwarts, but what will his fate at Westeros be?
Daniel Radcliffe may have survived Voldemort with his Deathly Hallows, however, his wishes have changed. The Harry Potter star wants to be on Game of Thrones. In an interview with Digital Spy, he said,
“I would love to. If they want to just bring me in and f***ing kill me, I would be so happy to do that.”
The wizard has had close brushes with death in real life too, when in 2014 he accidentally drank antifreeze thinking it was bottled water while filming Horns.
“I've recently read a couple of really good TV pilot scripts. But then it's signing on for seven years. . . . Right now, I have a little bit of freedom. So if I read a script for something that's filming next year, I don't have to turn it down because I'm not available - which I did, for a long time.”
Radcliffe’s a pool of talent and the actor has proven himself with the iconic HP series and good character roles even after that.
So basically Harry is done experimenting with cinema and theatre and now wants to get hands-on experience in television too. (The one he did, A Young Doctor's Notebook, had just four episodes in each of its two seasons.)
And since he is a star in fiction, GoT happens to be the most plausible option now, isn’t it?
Radcliffe recently played a very magical corpse who communicated with a very lonely and deserted Paul Dano in his last movie, Swiss Army Man.
His latest role in Imperium has him undercover, tracking white supremacy.
So while he continues his tryst with hard-hitting raw and rustic roles, he has now proved his ultimate love for fiction by wishing to be on something-which-defines-fiction- Game of Thrones!
