The world is celebrating International Yoga Day 2016, popularly called Yoga Day, today. Many Indian actors and actresses have made yoga a part and parcel of their fitness regime. Yoga is a physical as well as mental exercise that apparently has a host of benefits. Several Bollywood celebrities, who do Yoga on a regular basis, revealed the positive effects that this age-old practice brings in a particular person's mind and body. Considering the apparent benefits of yoga, several Bollywood celebrities have regularly been practising the exercise.

Basu is a huge Yoga enthusiast and will perform yoga for about 20 minutes at a programme to be organised by various government departments in association with Shwasa, an organisation dedicated to popularising yoga, on Tuesday to mark this year’s International Yoga Day. She has also shown keen interest in it throughout and recently posted photos on her Instagram as well with husband Karan Singh Grover.

She even brought out a CD called 'Shilpa's Yoga', which was released in June 2008. “Yoga keeps my mind, body and soul fit. I had a neck problem and suffered from chronic spondylitis. So I started practicing yoga. I took professional training and it really benefited,” says the actress. It may be noted that Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty had performed yoga at the last year’s International yoga Day event.
